The programmes
The Institute delivers structured education on ISO/IEC 42001 and AI governance across three levels:
- Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor — the professional certifications. Three- to five-day intensives, in-person and hybrid, ending in an examination. Aimed at internal auditors, compliance leads, and consultants who will build or assess AI management systems.
- Executive briefings — half- and full-day sessions. Aimed at C-suites and senior leadership. Focus is on decision-making, not clause-by-clause detail: what the standard obliges, what the exposures are, what “done” looks like.
- Board briefings — private sessions for boards and audit committees. Two hours to a half day. Framed around the fiduciary question — what a board needs to be able to say about AI oversight when asked.
Current sessions are listed on /events.
Partnerships
Some programmes are delivered directly by the Institute. Others are delivered in collaboration with established training providers — organisations that already run the ISO management-system training market and need a subject-matter lead for the 42001 curriculum.
The partnerships model matters: it lets the training scale beyond what a single practice can deliver, while keeping the underlying curriculum consistent with the standard as drafted.
Custom in-house programmes
Beyond the open sessions, the Institute delivers in-house programmes tailored to a single organisation’s context — its regulatory environment, its AI portfolio, and the maturity of its existing management systems.
